There are hundreds of apps that help you organize and remember things that you might need later on.
A lot of those apps are great, but none are as versatile as the simple camera of my iPhone.
It takes a second to snap a picture (I don’t even need to unlock my iPhone to take one) and I don’t have to worry about all the bells and whistles of all the other apps.
Here are 11 examples of how I use it:
1. To know the exact type of medication to buy more of at CVS
2. To note down rug sizes and check if they fit when I’m back at home
3. To remember where I parked
4. To know what bulb type I should buy for the new lamp
5. To capture new places to eat at
6. To recall nutrition facts when comparing products (and to figure out how to burn the calories from #5)
7. To snap addresses from my computer screen when I’m too lazy to type
8. To find out what Aisle & Bin that product is in at IKEA when I’m too lazy to write
9. To carry electronic copies of paper coupons
10. To ask (through iMessage) what size Feta Cheese I should get
And finally…
11. To get my wife’s opinion on a jacket without doing the catwalk outside the fitting room
Do you have any other interesting ways you use your camera?
Let me know in the comments below!

Hi Hassan,
They say one picture is worth a thousand words and so much easier to create.
An eleven thousand word post. Love the concept!

Thanks Gary! That’s an interesting way of putting it 🙂

I do the same thing, and it’s a good way to avoid losing those little pieces of paper on which you’ve jotted down notes.

Agree! Thanks Sandi. If you’re a heavy note-taker, you might want to use an app such as Evernote that will help you search through your handwritten notes later on.
