Klarna, a company focused on global payments and shopping services, published a blog post highlighting how their AI assistant (powered by OpenAI) was able to handle two-thirds of their customer service chats in the first month.
Here were some of their highlights in just one month(!)
- Volume: 2.3 million conversations
- Equivalency: 700 full-time customer service agents
- Customer Satisfaction: On par with human agents
- Resolve time: < 2 mins (was 11 mins previously)
- Financial Impact: Estimated to drive $40M in profit in 2024
What does this mean for leaders?
I can’t imagine any business leader looking at those statistics and not realizing that the impact of Gen AI solutions is almost immediate (and highly tangible). So if your organization is not leveraging AI, maybe sending them this post could help change their mind.
Apple cancels electric car to focus on AI
Apple Inc. has decided to cancel its decade-long effort to build an electric car, redirecting efforts and resources towards its artificial intelligence division.
This affects nearly 2,000 employees who will begin transitioning to other projects, mainly in the AI and generative AI fields.
