OpenAI just announced that all ChatGPT free users can now use GPTs.
Previously, only paid ChatGPT could access them.
This is going to be huge for businesses that have published (or will publish) public GPTs.
100 million weekly active users will now have access to those businesses’ GPTs, and that’s no small number.
GPTs are custom versions of ChatGPT that can help you perform specific tasks. Some companies are already seeing incredible efficiency gains when they use them internally, but they can also be used externally for things like customer support.
As a side note, my upcoming Udemy course (launching in a week) is about how leaders can create custom GPTs at work to improve productivity (no technical skills needed). Folks who are part of the Unlimited Leadership Library get it for free when it’s out.
Major Issues with Google’s AI Search Summaries
Google has recently rolled out AI-generated summaries that appear at the top of search results (called AI Overviews).
Things didn’t go well.
Many reported numerous inaccuracies in those results, including dangerous medical advice and comical errors, such as suggesting glue to keep cheese on pizza.
And the media jumped on that.
The screw-up not only threatens Google’s long-standing reputation for accuracy in its search results, but it also continues to highlight that hallucinations are a major risk of AI.
