Jamie Dimon, Chairman & CEO of JPMorgan Chase just published the annual letter to shareholders and highlighted how AI will affect businesses going forward.
Three highlights:
- AI’s Transformative Potential: The letter mentions that AI is poised to be as transformative as major technological inventions like the printing press and the internet, impacting business and society significantly.
- Expansion and Utilization of AI: The company has significantly expanded its AI and machine learning (ML) capabilities, now boasting over 2,000 specialists and actively using AI in over 400 use cases across various departments to drive business value.
- Workforce and Operational Impacts: AI is expected to augment virtually every job, impacting workforce composition by reducing certain roles while creating new ones. The company is committed to retraining and redeploying affected employees.
